On Friday March 29, 2019 Lupe Garcia passed away in Dallas, TX at the age of 60. She was born in Logan, Utah on September 19, 1958 to Guadalupe Gonzalez and Maria Cano. She moved to Hobbs, NM when she was a child where she resided her whole life. In 1982 she married Raul Garcia. They raised one daughter Rosa Walker.
Lupe Garcia was a free spirt, she loved life and danced to her own beat. She never met a stranger and was always ready to offer a lending hand. She enjoyed drawing, painting, and dancing. She also enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Melanie. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her father Guadalupe Gonzalez, mother Maria Cano, Twin brother Pedro C. Gonzalez, and a sister Micaela Piedra.
She leaves behind a husband Raul Garcia, a daughter Rosa Walker (Garcia), a son-in-law Kody Walker, a grand daughter Melanie Fay Walker, a brother Johnny Gonzalez and wife Linda Gonzalez, Brother Ramon Cano, Sister Elisa Rocha, Sister Maria Garcia, Sister Josie Cano, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 3 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hobbs, New Mexico at 1:00pm, with burial to follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. A visitation is being held at Griffin Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00pm-8:00pm with a rosary to start at 6:00pm. Services are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
