Eulene Rushing Pierce, 93 went home with the Lord Tuesday 8/1/18. She was born in Henderson County Texas on April 25, 1925 to Orbin Kelly Rushing and Exie Miller Rushing. Eulene met her future husband at church on Easter Sunday in 1940. When she moved with her family to West Texas where her grandfather had settled, Frank Pierce followed. They were married on January 16, 1943 and they remained together until his death in 2013. Together they raised 3 beautiful children. Eulene’s entire life revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren; Mikey and Tony Bostick, Tammy and Billy Pierce and Chris and Rhonda Thomas. She would often fix 3 or 4 different breakfasts because each child wanted something different. Her happiest times were with her family. Eulene spent her adult life helping others, retiring as a nurse’s aid from Good Sam. She was always the first to take a home-cooked meal to others, and to offer assistance wherever she could. Family reunions, weddings, and other family gatherings were special to her. She was proud of her family, and of the fact none of her children were divorced.
With her passing this 5 generation circle is broken; Eulene was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Frank, 2 brothers Billy Ray and Leon Rushing and one grandson Tony Bostick.
Left to cherish Eulene’s memory are her children; Sherrie (Mike) Bostick of Hobbs, Billy (Phyllis) Pierce of Hobbs and Sandra (Ronnie) Thomas of Fort Worth TX, Grandchildren; B. Mike Bostick of Roswell, Tammy (Brent) Pierce Funk of Hobbs, Billy (Darla) Pierce of Seminole TX, Chris (Debra) Thomas of Saginaw TX and Rhonda Thomas Roberts of Haltom City TX, Great grandchildren; Michael (Bobbie) Bostick of Midland TX, Jonathan (Mandie) Bostick of Hobbs, Taylor (Ryan) Bostick Harper of Norman OK, Jennie Pierce of Hobbs, Bailey Pierce of Seminole TX, Kember Pierce of Seminole TX, Josh Roberts of Fort Worth TX, Colton (Janae) Roberts of Saginaw TX, Kaylin Roberts Scott of Saginaw TX, Tara Kaye (Kevin) Corr of San Jose CA, Ashlyn Roberts of Minnesota, Kodi Crutcher of Haltom City TX, Logan Thomas of Saginaw TX and Hollie Thomas of Fort Worth TX, Great-great grandchildren; Maci Jané Bostick of Midland TX, Jonathan K Bostick of Midland TX, Ainsley Harper of Norman OK, Troy Don Bostick of Midland TX, Kaden Pierce of Hobbs, Brice, Michaela, Kyle and Jase Corr all of San Jose CA, Alexa Thomas of Saginaw TX, Kayden and Karson Scott of Fort Worth TX, Zaviah, Lukas and Bailee Crutcher all of Haltom City TX.
I am so sorry for your loss. May the words of our loving heavenly Father bring your family comfort and strength during this most difficult time as He promises to bring our loved ones back to life in a perfect world where there will be no more suffering or death (John 5:28-29 & Revelation 21:4).
Rest in peace, Aunt Eulene. You were well loved and will be greatly missed by your friends and loved ones. Prayers going up for the family.
