Adolyn Buchanan

Adolyn Buchanan, 78, of Hobbs, passed away Friday, October 14, 2016 in Houston, Texas. Adolyn was born on December 24, 1937 in Channing, Texas. She married Sam Buchanan in 1956 and they celebrated over 60 wonderful years of marriage. She enjoyed golfing and volunteering and she was very active in her church. Adolyn loved being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Sam Buchanan of Hobbs; daughter, Karilyn Pye and husband, Matt of The Woodlands, TX; son, Tad Buchanan and wife, Vicki of Katy, TX; sister, Joyce Headrick of Farmington, NM; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otho and Charline Walker; son, Rex Buchanan and two sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, October 24, 2016 at First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Greg Kennedy, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Snyder, Hobbs, NM 88240 or a charity of your choice.
