Alfonso Garcia

Alfonso "Porky" Garcia, 77, of Hobbs passed away March 9, 2018 in Midland, TX. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday March 12, 2018 at Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00-6:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Home.

Alfonso was born on November 10, 1946 in Moriarty, NM to Antonio and Maria Garcia. He married Mary Falcon on June 21, 1969 and they celebrated over 49 years of wonderful marriage. He loved watching NASCAR and cowboy movies. Alfonso was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a hardworking man; tenderhearted but hard handed. His family was his pride and joy. Anyone who met him never forgot him. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters and 5 brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Garcia of the home; daughter Jane Villalobos (Mario) of Hobbs; sons Eddie Garcia (Eva) and Ernest Garcia (Michelle) both of Hobbs; brother Billy Garcia; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
