Alfonso Lopez

Alfonso Lopez, 59, passed away on January 23, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 30 at 10:00 am at Victory Center Church, interment will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Alfonso was born on September 19, 1964 to Lazaro and Elvira Covarrubias Lopez in Cicacalco, Zacatecas, Mexico. Alfonso was a hardworking, dedicated family man who would help anyone. He loved to volunteer at his church and be outside in nature. He also loved playing around with his family and friends and being sarcastic. Alfonso will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Alfonso is survived by his wife, Nicolasa Lopez; one son, Marcos Lopez; four daughter, Erika Lopez, Patricia Gonzales, Emma Vasquez and Veronica Lopez; his father, Lazaro Lopez; three brothers, Serapio Lopez, Francisco Lopez, Ruben Lopez; three sisters, Maria De Jesus, Maria Asuncion and Maria Del Refugio. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Maya, Gabriella, Eduardo, Logan and raised Deysi like his daughter from the day she was born.

Alfonso was preceded in death by his mother, Elvira Covarrubias and two brothers, Ricardo and Arreliano Lopez.Pallbearers will be Francisco Lopez, Adam Gonzales, Marcos Lopez and Eddie Vasquez.

Alfonso nació el 19 de septiembre de 1964, hijo de Lázaro y Elvira Covarrubias López en Cicacalco, Zacatecas, México. Alfonso era un hombre de familia trabajador y dedicado que ayudaba a cualquiera. Le encantaba ser voluntario en su iglesia y estar al aire libre en la naturaleza. También le encantaba jugar con su familia y amigos y ser sarcástico. Alfonso será extrañado por todos los que lo conocieron.

A Alfonso le sobreviven su esposa, Nicolasa López; un hijo, Marcos López; cuatro hijas, Erika López, Patricia Gonzales, Emma Vásquez y Verónica López; su padre, Lázaro López; tres hermanos, Serapio López, Francisco López, Rubén López; tres hermanas, María De Jesús, María Asunción y María Del Refugio. También le sobreviven sus cinco nietos, Maya, Gabriella, Eduardo, Logan y crió a Deysi como su hija desde el día en que nació.

A Alfonso le precedieron en la muerte su madre, Elvira Covarrubias y dos hermanos, Ricardo y Arreliano López.Los portadores del féretro serán Francisco López, Adam Gonzales, Marcos López y Eddie Vásquez.
