Arhlyn was born on May 15, 1992, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Jesus Omar Vega and Luz Elva Vega. As the youngest of four siblings, Arhlyn knew that being the baby of the family wasn't always easy, so she made it her mission to ensure she always stood out. If Arhlyn entered a room, everyone knew it. She had a way of lighting up a room, so everyone knew she had arrived, and her personality matched the volume of her voice-loud, and impossible to ignore. She carried an infectious energy that brought out the fun in everyone around her, and her radiant smile rarely left her face. Arhlyn absolutely loved a great TikTok prank, but what she loved even more was playing those pranks on the people she loved. Though she had a gift for making people laugh, Arhlyn's greatest calling, and the role she cherished most, was being a loving mother to her one and only child, Arlette Sophia Vega, lovingly known as "Chikis," Her greatest accomplishment in life was raising a remarkable daughter with a beautiful soul that matches her outer beauty. When she wasn't scrolling through TikTok in search of her next prank, Arhlyn loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hobbs and held firmly to her faith throughout her final days. In true Arhlyn fashion, she went out with a bang, passing away on the Fourth of July with pink fireworks lighting the sky, just as she had requested. For those who loved her, July 4th will forever be more than a holiday-it will also be a celebration of Arhlyn's remarkable life. Arhlyn will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jesus Chavez; daughter Arlette Sophia Vega and stepson, Leo Chavez; parents Omar Sr. and Luz Vega; siblings: Laura Courtney alongside Jacob Courtney; Jesus Omar VegaJr. and sister-in-law Sarah; Chanttel Baeza and brother-in-law Gabriel; and Carmen Morales; 5 nephews: Mason, Jaxton, Lawson, Cesar, and Gael; 3 nieces: Lyra, Ellie, and Alondra; as well as numerous relatives and friends. A viewing will be held at Griffin Funeral Home, 401 N. Dalmont St., Hobbs, NM, on Wednesday, July 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, and the rosary will follow that evening at 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 914S. Selman St., Hobbs, NM. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery, located at 1900 E Stanolind, Hobbs, NM.

In keeping with Arhlyn's wishes, everyone is invited to wear black attire.
