Barbara Gail Brown

Barbara Gail Brown was born into this world on December 09, 1953, in Lamesa, Texas to Buell A. and Dorothy E. Brown. Barbara entered eternal rest on May 23, 2025, in Lovington, New Mexico.

Barbara was a bright, beautiful, loving woman. Her family meant everything to her. She dedicated her life to taking care of those she loved with all her might. After she raised her kids, she spent a lot of time with her grandchildren caring for and loving on them. Barbara cared for her parents when they began to age. When she had the opportunity, she went back to school to expand on her master’s degree and was following a path to a Psychology degree when her sister Joyce became ill, Barbara put her aspirations on hold to care for her sister and make sure she had all she needed. That is just who she was. Barbara was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, her sister, and one son Kristopher Brown.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Steven Scott Brown and Meghan Land, five grandchildren Douglas Brown, Katelyn Brown, Kyrie Brown, Vincent Brown, Earendel Cantu, and one on the way, two great-grandchildren Kyle, and Scarlett, and her dear Aunt Edith Zimmerman.
