Bonnie Jo Tramell

Bonnie Tramell, 79, of Hobbs New Mexico, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026. She was born on June 30th of 1946 in Kermit, Texas, to Esda and A.P. Riley. She spent many years as a bookkeeper for local business including Orville’s Welding Service and Dr Tucker D.D.S.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her first husband, Hugh Thornton Kidd; her parents, Esda and A.P. Riley; her son, Terry Lee Tramell; her daughter, Donna Gayle Tramell Helton; and her grandsons, Orville Lee Tramell and Cheyenne Cody Norris.

She is survived by her loving husband, Orville Tramell; her children, Kathy Norris, Lorrie Tramell, Billy Kidd and Brian Kidd; along with 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, sisters, Eva Reed and Paula Nichols, all of whom were the pride and joy of her life.

Bonnie had a deep love for her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She loved Jesus and lived her life guided by her faith. In her quieter moments, she found joy in painting, listening to classical music, and tending to her yard—especially pulling weeds, which she found oddly satisfying. Bonnie’s gentle spirit, creativity, and devotion to those she loved will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
