Christopher Monroy

Christopher Monroy of Hobbs passed away on August 13, 2021 at the age of 36. He was born December 27, 1984, in Lansing, Michigan to Elijio Monroy and Luzdivina Rivas. Funeral services for Christopher will be held on Tuesday August 24 at St. Helena Catholic Church at 2pm, with burial to follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Family and friends are welcome to come pay their respects that morning at Griffin Funeral Home between 10am-1pm.

Christopher was a true family man, spending time with those he loved was how he wanted to live his life. He was the proud father of three wonderful children and a devoted and caring husband, as well as a great friend, brother, and son. Christopher enjoyed the simple things the most, a good meal with great company, spoiling his children, joking around with friends. He always went above and beyond to help those around him, knowing what it meant to struggle himself, Christopher wanted to make sure those whom he loved would have a better life.

He will always be remembered in the hearts of those who love him, his wife Petralena, children Macario Paul, Sergio Antonio, and Liliana Pagie Monroy, his mother Luzdivina Rivas, brother Adam and Antonio Rivas as well as numerous aunts, uncles and other extended family members.
