Christopher Welch

Christopher Lee Welch, 28, of Hobbs, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in Lovington, NM. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Hobbs First Assembly. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1:00-7:00 pm at Griffin Funeral Home.

Christopher was born on November 15, 1987 to Robert and Rosaline Welch. He worked as a chef for various restaurants in Hobbs with the most recent at Hilton Garden Inn. Christopher enjoyed riding motorcycles and BMXing. He was a member of the Soul Protectors motorcycle club. Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Welch, Sr. and Evie Welch.

Survivors include his father, Robert Welch, Jr. of Hobbs; mother, Rosaline Basilio of San Diego, CA; sons, Kekoa and Kamden Welch and their mother, Ashley Welch of Hobbs, sons, Cy Marshall of Hobbs and Christopher Carter Welch of Lovington; girlfriend, Celes Victoria Villa of Lovington; siblings, Roseanne Jeannette Welch, Jamie-Lyn and Joshua Basilio; grandparents, Jorge, Sr. and Mercedes Verdejo; aunts, Debbie Burgi-Jensen, Vickie Mendenhall and Rosemarie Alejo and uncles, Ross Verdejo, Joey Verdejo and Jorge Verdejo, Jr.

Services are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
