Daniel Vela

Daniel Christopher Vela, 31, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 in Los Angeles, CA. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Hobbs First Assembly Church with Pastor Jonathon Cabrera, officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Daniel was born on February 25, 1982 to Cecilia Casey and David Vela. He graduated from Hobbs High School in 2000 and went on to pursue degrees at NMJC and ENMU. Daniel moved to Cambridge, MA to study law and later moved to Los Angeles. His dream was to become an attorney. Daniel was very adventurous and loved to travel. He was very close to his siblings.

Daniel leaves behind his parents, Casey and Henry DeLara of Hobbs and his father, David Vela of Andrews, TX brother, Jason Vela and wife, Stephanie sisters, Jaime Garcia and husband, Rocky and Lindsay Vela and Kevin Henry nieces and nephews, Destiny and Rocco Garcia, Brianna, Marissa and Isaiah Vela, Makenna Henry, Joshua, Jacob and Amaya Vela.
