Darlene Bayes

Darlene Bayes, 71, of Eunice, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in Hobbs. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 15, 2014 in Brunson Cemetery, Eunice, NM with Steve Perry, officiating. The family will receive friends from 46 PM on Friday the 14th at Griffin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bayes was born on January 24, 1943 in Ada, OK to Clinton and Willie Perry. She moved to Eunice in 1953 and married Joe Bayes on September 24, 1959 in Lovington. They celebrated over 54 years of wonderful marriage. She was member of the Church of Christ in Eunice. Mrs. Bayes loved reading and working crossword puzzles. She was a loving wife and mother. Mrs. Bayes was preceded in death by her parents daughter, Jolene Bayes Delisle and brother, Phinios Perry.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Bayes of the home daughter, Gail Bayes of the home brotherinlaw, Luis Bayes and wife, Jessie of Lovington and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
