David Calderon Sr

David Calderon Sr. was born October 31, 1950, in Lamesa, Texas to Joe Calderon and Lucinda Rendon. He passed away February 18, 2025, in Hobbs, NM.

Mr. Calderon was once the president of the men's ministry at Sendero De La Cruz Church. He was a very loving and caring man, who enjoyed and loved his family, and to his grandkids he was known as GPA. Mr. Calderon loved waking up to a cup of coffee and the morning sun, he enjoyed fishing and watching old cowboy movies, such as Gunsmoke.

David Calderon was preceded in death by his loving wife Guadalupe Calderon, son Daniel Ray Calderon, his parents Joe Calderon and Lucinda Calderon, four brothers, and two sisters.

He is survived by his sons David Calderon Jr.(Francis), Jesse Calderon Jr., and Gregory Calderon. Also his siblings brother Gilbert Calderon and his sister Mary Calderon. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him including his eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
