David T Taylor

David T Taylor was brought into this world on June 2, 1948, to Payton “Pate” & Genny Lorene “Loke” Taylor in Honey Grove, Texas. He passed from this earth into the loving arms of Jesus on June 13, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas.

David married the love of his life Linda Rinehart on February 17, 1967, they were blessed with 56 years together, some ups and downs, but they were always side by side. David and Linda had two children, Eric D. Taylor, and Monica D. Harris, along came 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

David worked in the oilfield for over 40 years. He started working for Star Tool Company in 1971 and continued with Star Tool for the majority of his career. After retiring he could not sit still for long. He became a Fishing Consultant for WRH, Inc in Roswell, New Mexico before retiring to live in Colorado.

David loved his family and took immense pride in his children’s individual accomplishments. He spoiled his grandkids (but not rotten). David also loved music, playing the guitar (something he enjoyed sharing with Eric), riding horses, especially in the mountains, and hunting.

David was preceded in death by his parents, brother Payton “Dick” Taylor Jr, sisters Charlene “Duck” Kates, and Carol Jean “Neanie” Galenbeck, a niece, two nephews and several good friends.

Left to treasure his memory is his wife Linda of Stephenville, Texas, son Eric and wife Mandy Taylor of Hobbs, New Mexico, daughter Monica and husband Reid “Pepper” Harris of Stephenville, Texas, grandchildren Payton and Sheila Taylor, Erica and Dennis Duarte, Quinton and Malissa Harris, Sidney Taylor, Colin Taylor, brother-in-law’s Dave Galenbeck, Willie Kates, David Rinehart, Robert Rinehart, sister-in-law Phyllis Thomas, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
