Denise Marie Miramontes

Denise Marie Miramontes, lovingly known as "Niecy" and "Niecy Pooh," passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026 at the age of 25. 

Born on November 29, 2000, Denise was the beloved daughter of Matilda Mota and Steve Miramontes, and the cherished stepdaughter of Jose Rivera. Denise entered this world facing extraordinary challenges. Despite those challenges, she touched the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. Affectionately called "Niecy" and "Niecy Pooh," hearing her nickname alwasy brought a beautiful smile to her face. Family members would say her name and her face would get lit up with joy. 

Though Denise faced significant medical challenges from birth, she showed remarkable strength throughout her life. She surpassed expectations and blessed her family with nearly 26 years of love, joy, and unforgettable memories. Her life was a testimony of perserverance, courage, and unconditional love.

Denise attended Hobbs High School and was a proud high school graduate. Her determination and accomplishments were a source of pride for her family and all who knew her. Through every stage of life, she demonstrated resilience, strength, and a spirit that inspired those around her. 

Denise's smile could brighten any room. She was deeply loved and cared for by her family, and her gentle spirit taught those around her lessons of patience, compassion, and faith. She was a precious gift whose life touched countless hearts. 

Denise was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Josefina and Enrique Miramontes, and her uncle, Miguel Miramontes. 

She is survived by her grandparents, Nick and Maria Morales, Nana and Papa; her sisters, Felicity Miramontes, Sadie Rivera, Siena Rivera, Genesis Rivera, and Melanie Rivera; her nephew, Sebastian Miramontes; her aunts and uncles; her numerous cousins; and many other beloved relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Although her family mourns her passing, they find comfort in knowing that Denise is now at peace, free from every earthly limitation and resting in the loving presence of her Lord and Savior. Her memory will continue to live on through the love she shared and the lives she touched. 

Denise Marie Miramontes will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
