Don Brewer

Don Roy Brewer, 70 of Hobbs, NM, passed away, Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in the comfort of his home. Don was born on September 22, 1945 in De Kalb, Texas. He attended Hobbs High School and participated in the Navy Reserve. He graduated Hobbs High School in 1964. Don served his country in the United States Navy from 1963 - 1966. He was a Veteran's Service Officer in Hobbs and also served as Commander of Hobbs American Legion. Don was a devout fan of the San Francisco 49ers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Brewer. Survivors include his mother, Lorene Brewer, of the home; sisters, Elsie Hill and Mary Cofer and her husband Dwight; 4 nieces; 1 nephew; a lot of cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 11, 2016 at Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00-700 PM at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 1:00-3:00 PM.
