Don Davis

Don Davis, 54, of Monument, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday the 8th from 3:00-7:00 pm at Griffin Funeral Home.

Don was born on August 11, 1962 in Lorain, Ohio to Willis and Genevieve Davis, Sr. He received college degrees in automotive body repair and psychology. Don sold RVs and cars and also worked as an oilfield consultant. He enjoyed fixing things. Don enjoyed fishing, especially crabbing. He loved to cook but his true love was his family and his cats. Don was preceded in death by his wife, Abby Davis and his father, Willis Davis, Sr.

Survivors include his daughter, Elisha Gutierrez (Junior) of Colorado City, TX; mother, Gennie Davis-Cook of Hobbs; sister, Connie Patton (Guy) of Abilene, TX; brothers, Ronnie Davis of Monument and Willis Davis, Jr. of Hobbs; grandchildren, Madison Davis, Anthony Gutierrez and Joey Gutierrez; great granddaughter, Emlynn Gutierrez; nieces and nephews, Justin Davis, Brandon Davis, Shawntel Davis, Michael Davis, Crystal Davis, Chris Gaston, Gena Gaston and many other nieces and nephews.
