Eramo Sanchez, passed away on November 18, 2025, at his home in Hobbs, New Mexico, surrounded by his family. Born on June 28, 1968, in Red Lodge, Montana, Eramo was known for his unwavering dedication to both his work and his family.
Eramo's professional journey began in the oilfield, where he worked diligently in his younger years. He transitioned his skills to landscaping, demonstrating the tenacity that characterized his work ethic throughout his life.
Eramo was admired by those who knew him for his love of family and for his ability to bring humor into conversations. He found great joy in family gatherings, often sharing good-natured jokes with his brother, Boe Velasquez. Beyond his family, Eramo was a devoted fan of the Denver Broncos and enjoyed watching wrestling, activities that brought him much joy and camaraderie with friends and loved ones.
A man of faith, Eramo held a special place in his heart for the Eternal Life Church, where he frequently attended services. He maintained a humble demeanor and preferred a quiet life, keeping to himself except when surrounded by family, who were the cornerstone of his existence.
Eramo is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Sanchez; his daughter, Angel Sanchez; his step-daughter, Victoria Rodriguez; his brothers, Boe Velasquez and Estaban Velasquez; his sister, Maria Velasquez; and his granddaughter, who brought light into his life.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Sibelia Castenada; his brother, Joe Sanchez; his sister, Ortencia Velasquez; and several aunts and uncles, who have now welcomed him into their eternal rest.
A viewing will be held on November 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Home in Hobbs, NM. This will be followed by a funeral service on the same day at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Eramo Sanchez will be remembered not only for his hardworking nature but also for the light he brought to those around him. His legacy will live on in the warmth of family gatherings and the smiles he inspired.
