Esperanza Gonzalez

Esperanza Gonzalez, 66, of Hobbs, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, July 18, 2015 at St. Helena Catholic Church with Rev. Ricardo Bauza as celebrant. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM, Friday the 17th at Griffin Funeral Home.

Esperanza was born on September 14, 1948 in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico to Ascencion and Juana Ortega. She loved taking care of all of her family. She especially enjoyed going to the casino; scratch off cards and playing video games. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Survivors include her daughter, Esperanza Carrillo and husband, Jose; sons, Jose R. Gonzalez and wife, Maribel, Luis Gonzalez and wife, Natalie, Javier Gonzalez, Bill Gonzalez and wife, Lucy and Jose S. Gonzalez; 3 sisters; 3 brothers; 15 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
