Federico Aguirre Olivas was born on July 28, 1938, to parents Juan Olivas and Elva Aguirre in Fort Davis, Texas. He passed away on March 14, 2024, in Hobbs, New Mexico surrounded by his loved ones.
Federico had a true cowboy heart. He loved his family and working on the ranch more than anything in the world. He was such a funny character always putting bunny ears on everyone when taking pictures. He loved making his family laugh when he spent time with them. They often watched him watching the sunset with a cup of black coffee (with two scoops of sugar) in his hand and tending to his horses. One horse the family can remember clearly was a horse named Cookie. He loved to BBQ outside with the breeze passing by carrying the smell of whatever he was grilling. Federico was also a hard-working man, he worked for many years at DA&S. God has taken one of the best into his embrace, but he will never be forgotten.
Federico is preceded in death by his parents and his son Christopher. He is survived by his wife Julia Olivas, his five daughters Rosie, Betty, Weda, Kathy, Sara, his son Freddie, four sisters Veta, Yolanda, Carol, and Linda, his brother Liberto, sixty grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
