Felicita Zaragoza

Felicita Zaragoza, 85, of Hobbs, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Hobbs. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Ruben Romero as celebrant. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM, Wednesday at Griffin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Zaragoza was born on November 17, 1927 in Torreon, Mexico to Bonifacio and Paula Aguirre. She loved to knit, sew and cook and was especially known for her tortillas and beans. Mrs. Zaragoza was a strong woman she raised her eight children and helped raise her grandchildren. They were her strength and she instilled hard work and to live right. Mrs. Zaragoza was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church for 65 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, 4 sisters, 1 daughterinlaw and one grandson.

Survivors include daughters, Maria Flores of Amarillo, TX, Anita Maldonado and husband, Tommy of Hobbs and Lupe Alfaro and husband Arturo of Hobbs sons, Arturo Aguirre of Long Beach, CA, Raul Zaragoza and wife, Lupe of Hobbs, Francisco Saragosa and wife, Carmen of Hobbs, Alfredo Zaragoza of Hobbs and Paul Zaragoza and wife, Anna of Odessa, TX special friends, Paul and Dora Garcia 31 grandchildren 64 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Juan Maldonado, David Flores, Freddie Zaragoza, Claudio Zaragoza, Rueben Zaragoza, Rene Flores, Raul Arturo Zaragoza and Joshua Maldonado.
