Hazel Capps

Hazel Louise Capps was born April 16th, 1924 in San Patricio, New Mexico, and left this earth August 17, 2013 to her reward in heaven. Mrs. Capps was preceded in death her husband, Everett Ernest Capps and by her daughter Hazel Ruth Mathews.

Mrs. Capps was blessed with good health, lived in her own house and tended her gardens up until the last months of her life. She always had a quick wit with a quip in Spanish or English to make you smile. Always keeping the faith, we are confident that she has already entered to her place in Heaven. Survivors include her four children, John and Lou Ann Capps of Artesia, Nora Clark of Hobbs, Celeste Brown of Atoka, OK and Ernie and Debbie Capps of Hobbs her large extended family, 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 14 greatgreat grandchildren and 8 greatgreatgreat grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Chapel. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made to: www.griffinfuneralhomehobbs.com.
