James Pitts

James R. Pitts, 68, of Hobbs passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 25, 2014 in Prairie Haven Memorial Park with Pastor Kirsten SaueyHofmann, officiating. Military Honors will be presented by Cannon Air Force Honor Guard. Visitation will be held Friday 1:007:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Home.

James was born on October 17, 1946 in Panama City, FL to Rudy and Polly Pitts. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Jim married Dianne Bland on May 5, 1967 and they were married over 47 years until her death in 2012. He worked and retired from KerrMcGee after 26 years. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. He was also preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Connie Pitts.

Survivors include his daughters, Kim Allred and her husband, J.C., Mace Petty and her husband, David Borden and Cheyenne Perkins son, Rodney Pitts and wife, Lisa granddaughters, Ashley Aten and Keri Stubblefield grandson, Chase Pitts great grandchildren, Daelan, Avery, Addison, Kaden, Rilee, Jacy, Rheece, Lilly, Erika and Emily.
