Jimmie Nolen

Jimmie (Geta) Juan Nolen, 82, of Hobbs, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in Hobbs. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church with Pastor LaVoid Ford, officiating.

Jimmie was born on July 18, 1934 in Colorado City, Texas to Andrew Jackson and Lucy Mae Nolen. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Jimmie married the love of his life, Dolores Rose George and they celebrated many years of marriage until her death in 1994. He owned and operated J&D Company and worked in the oilfield all of his life. Jimmie loved to fish and loved his dogs. He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Sim (Buster) Riley; brothers, Buddy (Bodie) Nolen and Jack (Wickie) Nolen and sister, Cassie O'Conner.

Survivors include his son, Jimmie Nolen and wife Beulah of Monument, NM; daughters, Christine Butler and husband, John of Lake in the Hill, IL and Becky Parsons and husband, Eric of Nazareth, PA; sister, Jane Lucas of Aztec, NM; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
