Joe Akison

Joe "Rabbit" Akison, 66, of Hobbs passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Lane Chapel Methodist Church with the Reverend Larron Fields, officiating.

Joe was born on December 15, 1950 in Clarksville, Texas to Nolan and Pearlene Akison. He never met a stranger and loved being around people. Joe had a good heart and was always helping others. He was preceded in death by his parents and a number of siblings.

Survivors include his sisters, Brenda Brewer of Odessa, TX and Dedra Akison of Ft. Worth, TX; brothers, Greg Brewer of Roswell, NM and Darron Akison of California and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
