Johnny Ross

Johnny R. Ross, 65, of Brusly, LA, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 in Baton Rouge, LA. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 8, 2014 in Prairie Haven Memorial Park with Pastor LaVoid Ford, officiating. Military Honors will be provided by Fort Bliss Honor Guard. Viewing will be on Friday from 10:00 AM5:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM 12:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Home.

Johnny was born on June 17, 1949 in Hobbs, NM. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. While living in Hobbs he worked as a firefighter and EMT. Later, he worked as a contractor and built Sonic Driveins in 5 states. Johnny married Christy Bentley on January 6, 2006 and they celebrated over 8 years of wonderful marriage. Riding motorcycles and dirt bikes was his passion. He was preceded in death by his parents 1 brother and 2 sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Christy Ross of Brusly, LA son, Gary Ross and wife, Peggy of Aztec, NM sisters, Carol Ross, Doris Harmonson and Francis Banks brother, Samuel Ross grandson, Andrew Ross and wife, Ashlynne stepdaughters, Randi Jo Hair and Jeanie Young stepson, Kevin Hair and 5 stepgrandchildren.
