Joyce Savell

Joyce Savell, 78, of Hobbs, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 in Lovington. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Vista Pointe Baptist Church with Pastor Chuck Snyder, officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Cemetery.

Joyce was born on March 5, 1936 to Charlie and Nancy Ann Preas. She married Johnny Savell and they celebrated over 52 years of wonderful marriage until his death in 2003. Joyce was a Christian woman who led many to Christ. After God, her family was her drive in life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Joyce was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joann Blakeney.

Survivors include her daughter, Rita Goates and husband, Robert of Hobbs sons, Ronnie Savell and wife, Becca of Hobbs and Brad Savell and wife, BranDee of Lovington sister, Char Warn of Durango, CO 13 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
