Juanita Taylor

Juanita Taylor, 79, of Hobbs passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Benny Greenlee, officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday, March 27th from 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Home.

Juanita and her twin brother, Cletis, were born November 20, 1935 to Walter and Birdie Shelton. She married Alvin Wesley "Dow" Taylor, Sr., (the love of her life) on July 15, 1958 and resided with him in Hobbs until his passing in January 2001.

Juanita was a homemaker and she and Dow raised six sons. She is survived by her sons, Wesley Taylor, Jr. and his wife, Jeannie, Jamie Taylor, Nathan Taylor and his wife, Shannon and John Taylor and his wife, Terri, all of Hobbs, Mike Taylor of Alamogordo, NM and Danny Taylor and his wife, Yvone of Cartwright, OK. Juanita is also survived by two brothers, Cletis and Bobby Shelton of Oklahoma and numerous grandkids and great grandkids.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents; son, Leslie; three brothers, Willard, Jimmy and Junior and several grandkids and great grandkids. Services are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made to: www.griffinfuneralhomehobbs.com
