L.D. Clark

Funeral services for L.D. Clark 80, of Brownsboro, TX, formerly of Hobbs, NM are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. MST, Friday December 19, 2014 at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Chapel with Ryan Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Mr. Clark died Friday December 12, 2014 in Tyler, TX. He was born February 15, 1934 in Lamesa, TX to the late Osto and Vaneta Stansberry Clark. L.D. served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and worked in the oilfield industry for 40 years and was coowner of Sonnys Oil Field Service in Hobbs, NM until retirement in 1990. Following retirement he resided in Del Rio 15 years where he pursued his hobby as an avid fisherman on Lake Amistad. He moved to Brownsboro in 2005 and was a member of LaRue Baptist Church. L.D. was preceded in death by his first wife Jewel McCullough Clark.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Shirley Clark, Brownsboro, TX son, Jack Dean Clark stepsons, Steve Ackerman, Lovington, NM and Ira Ackerman, McNeal, AZ nephew, Davis Simms, Andrews, TX niece, Nancy Vogt, Lake Whitney, TX and 3 grandchildren.
