Lillian Ellis

Lillian Marie Ellis, 63, formerly of Hobbs, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Lane Chapel, CME with Pastor Michael Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. The family with receive friends from 4:007:00 PM, Friday at Griffin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ellis was born on January 2, 1951 in Pelham, Texas t0 Ludesta Baker. She enjoyed reading, going to the balloon festival and going to art galleries. Lillian loved to help others she worked many years with the Red Cross, and was an advocate for Social Justice. Lillian was preceded in death by her son Brian Ellis and stepfather, Billy Baker, Sr.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Ellis, Sr. of Dallas sons, Joe B. Ellis, Jr. Julie of Lubbock, TX and Joel Ellis of Dallas, TX daughter in law, Rosario Pando, mother, Ludesta Baker of Hobbs sisters, Joanna Hanson of Dallas, Peggy Cox, James of Lubbock, Brenda Lawson Gary of Hobbs and Laverne Tate of Hobbs brothers, Jiles Brown of Hobbs, Billy Baker, Jr. Donna of Hobbs and Anthony Baker of Mustang, OK grandchildren, Jasmine Ellis, Jordan Ellis, Darius Ellis, Tiana Ellis, Maya Ellis, Devonte Ellis and DeMarie Ellis great grandchildren, Jayden Ellis and Londyn Ellis and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
