Louis Sosa, Sr.

Louis O. Sosa, Sr., 64, of Hobbs, passed away Wednesday, November 25 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 4, 2015 at Templo Alabanza with Pastor Ruben Llamos, officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00-7:00 PM with a Prayer service at 6:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Home.

Mr. Sosa was born on August 24, 1951 in Carlsbad, NM to Louis B. and Rosa M. Sosa. He lived in Hobbs for over 50 years and was self-employed as a contractor. Louis had an associate degree from New Mexico Junior College in Architecture and could build anything. He was also a mechanic and loved working on old cars, which allowed him time with his boys and family members. Louis loved the Dallas Cowboys; listening to oldies music and watching football but his true love was being with his family. He had a kind and loving spirit and was always willing to help anyone. Louis was preceded in death by his father, Louis B. Sosa; sister, Lily Oliver and granddaughters, Miracle Rose Angel Sosa and Josie Vega.

Survivors include his sons, Louis Sosa, Jr., Rudy J. Sosa, Adam Sosa and Michael Sosa; daughters, Heather Sosa and Carisa J. Sosa; mother, Rosa O. Torrez; 3 sisters; 2 brothers; 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
