Mabel Evans Lovett, of Hobbs, passed away on August 28, 2022, at her home. She was born July 9, 1931, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to B. Clarence and Olita Evans. A memorial service in her honor will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 2pm, at First Baptist Church.
Mabel was everyone’s biggest cheerleader and greatest fan. Mabel loved her husband, Jack.
She took care of her extended family like no one else. No matter what her nieces and nephews were doing she supported them 100 percent. In addition to Albuquerque she also lived in Alaska, Chicago, Louisiana, California, and Idaho. Regardless of where she lived, she became involved with the local Baptist Church community. She played piano and sang in the choir in her home church in Idaho, which she dearly loved. Mabel worked throughout her life as a bookkeeper for various companies, as well as taking care of her home and husband, Jack. Her positive outlook, sense of humor and her garage sale skills will be dearly missed by all those who love her and had the opportunity to know her.
Preceding her in passing are her parents, brother Clarence A Evans, and sisters Margaret (Herman) Saline and Nell Evans.
Left to treasure her memory are her beloved husband Jack Lovett, nephew David Evans, nieces JoAnn Evans and Sharon Evans, great nieces and nephews Leslie Evans, David Evans, Jennifer Evans, and Stephen Evans, great-great nieces and nephews Jordynn, Michael, Austyn, Jayden, Khloe, Aaliyah, Malachi, Sterling, Elijah, Jaylyn and Kimora, and triple great nieces Evangeline and Adelina. As well as many other extended family and friends who love her.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor at www.samaritanspurse.org
