Maria Hernandez

Maria A. Hernandez, passed away Thursday, November 1st, 2018 in Hobbs, NM. She was born December 11th 1936 in Troll, TX to Francisco and Isabel Alaniz. She was the 8th child of 13 children. She married Jesse C. Hernandez on December 31st 1954 in Sinton, TX. They had 8 children together. They were married for 41 years and lived in Hobbs all their lives. She was preceded in death by her parents Francisco and Isabel Alaniz; husband, Jesse Hernandez; and one son. She has numerous grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be: Franklin Sifford, Michael Sifford, Eli Gomez, Sidney Garza, Adolph Sosa, Saul Espinoza, Timothy Rios and Antonio Mora.
Visitation will be held from 2:00PM - 6:00PM, with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 6:00PM, Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Griffin Funeral Home, 401 N. Dalmont St. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00AM, Monday, November 5, 2018 at St. Helena Catholic Church, 100 E Bender Blvd. Interment will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.
