Mark Seay

Mark O. Seay "Mo", 97, of Hobbs, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Griffin Funeral Home. Masonic rites will be conducted by the Lodge. Interment will be 2:00 PM (CST), Friday, April 29, 2016 at Red Oak Cemetery in Paris, Texas. Visitation will be from 1:00-7:00 PM, Monday the 25st at Griffin Funeral Home.


Mark was born on December 25, 1918 in Red River County, Texas to Mark and Roxie Seay. He served his country in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. Mark was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Eunice Masonic Lodge No. 67 AF&AM. He worked all of his life and was a jack of all trades. Mark married Anjella Pratt in December 1940 and they celebrated 67 years of wonderful marriage until her death in 2008. He married Peggy Dale on September 2010. Mark was also preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dan Tom Seay and sister, Winnie Harrison.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Seay; daughter, Mary Horn of Carlsbad; son, Mickey Seay of Hobbs; stepchildren, Sharon Barber and Dwight Dale; grandchildren, Brenda Buttrey, Wesley Hardin, Jeana Perini, Misty Denney, James Seay and Jaime Seay; 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
