Martin Jordan Jr.

Martin Jordan Jr. “Tilin” was born to Alejandrina “Elsie” Jordan and Martin Jordan Sr. October 29th, 1980, in Hobbs, NM. He departed this earthly life on Friday, June 16th, 2023.

Martin at a young age became an accomplished Pipeline Heavy Equipment Operator and worked with many family members and friends. Martin described his career as the best job in the world because he got to play in the dirt. He taught many people in the pipeline/oilfield industry in which many went on to successfully advance in their careers because of his tutelage.

Martin was a fun spirited soul who was known as the life of the party. He had a great passion for singing and often broke out in song when his favorite music came on. The simplest pleasures of life brought great joy to him. He enjoyed listening to all genres of music, loved food, and most of all spending quality time with his family. Tilin loved to travel to surrounding areas and Mexico to taste great food and to visit family and friends. Martin was best known to everyone as having a heart of gold and being able to make all laugh. His pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met. Although he had no biological children, he was a father figure to many and always had a listening ear.

Martin had many loves in life but none as great as his fiancée, Christina, in which he said he found “The One who made him complete”. He adored his stepchildren very much and was grateful they shared their mother with him.

He knew no strangers and made friends easily with everyone and was a beautiful person inside and out. Most important to him were his loved ones and cared deeply for family and friends.

Many knew him as a drinking buddy but in the recent past months, he began to change his life for what he described as a more fulfilling life. Martin recommitted himself to Christ 1 week prior to his death and attributed it to his adored Mother.

Tilin leaves his memories to be cherished by his mother - Alejandrina “Elsie” Jordan, his fiancée - Christina Vallejo, his stepchildren- Mark and Adrianah, his sister - Marisol Jordan and her spouse Jesus Sosa, his nephews - Jeremiah and Jonathon, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who were like brothers and sisters to him.

He is preceded in death by his father - Martin Jordan Sr, his grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Martins’ presence and love will be sorely missed but never forgotten and we have hope that we will be reunited again.
