Mildred Weaver, 82, of Hobbs passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Hobbs. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, January 25, 2013 at Temple Baptist Church with the Reverend LaVoid Ford, officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday 4:00 8:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Weaver was born on December 19, 1930 in Oklahoma to Clifton and Eva Bryant Thomason. She married Bill Weaver in 1950 in Burkburnett, Texas and came to Hobbs in 1964. They celebrated over 58 years of wonderful marriage before his death in 2008. She enjoyed playing bingo, dominoes, Uno, Polyana, working puzzles and cooking for her family but the love of her life was her grandchildren. Mrs. Weaver enjoyed watching the Days of Our Lives and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Mrs. Weaver was also preceded in death by her parents brother, Gene Thomason daughterinlaw, Debbie Weaver and grandson, Zackery Manry.
Survivors include daughters, Sandy Hubbard and husband, Glen of Hobbs, Wendy Roberts and husband, Kevin of Hobbs and Cathy Gray and husband, Bo of Hobbs sons, Dusty Weaver of Midland, TX and Rusty Weaver and wife, Becky of Hobbs sisters, Willene Collins and husband, Ray of Oklahoma and Melva Aytes of Hobbs brothers, Buzz Thomason and wife, Marvel of Hobbs and Bobby Thomason and wife, Debbie of Hobbs 8 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
