Oneri Mccrary

Alice Oneri McCrary passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on April 23, 2019 in Hobbs, New Mexico. She was born on November 29, 1930 to O.C. Carroll and Lorena Holleyman in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. At the age of sixteen she married her lifelong love, Warren McCrary with whom she raised 3 wonderful children. Together they were active in the American Legion, with Alice being the President of the Ladies Auxiliary Legion and travelled across the state attending conventions. Alice also firmly believed in being well dressed for every occasion, dressing better to do her yardwork them some do to go out! No matter what she was doing though, she treated everyone as if they were the most important person in the room, her kind loving soul will always be missed.
Alice is preceded in death by her loving parents, beloved husband Warren G. McCrary and siblings Everett Carroll, Bob Carroll, Ted Carroll and Truett Carroll as well as sister in law Vicki Carroll. Left to treasure her memory and legacy are her children: Belinda Wink of Hobbs, Dwight McCrary (Dede) of Hobbs, and Gaylon McCrary (Reda) of Cedar Park, TX, grandchildren: Sara McCrary (Fernando Contreras) of Boston, MA, Shanah McCrary (Joh Keller) of Austin, TX, Ashley McCrary of Austin, TX, Justin McCrary (Loretta Kerner) of San Antonio, TX, Austin McCrary (Brittney) of Hobbs, NM, and Sydney McCrary (Matt Trujillo) of Hobbs, NM, great-grandchildren: Ellie and Calvin McCrary and Luca McCrary-Contreras. She is also survived by her siblings: Jim Carroll, Mary Stewart (Dennis), Margaret Salsbury (Jim) and sisters in law Regena Carroll and Johnnie Crowell Carroll.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Griffin Funeral Home at 1pm with burial to follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday from 5-7pm. Services are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
