Patricia Joan Thomas

Patty Thomas peacefully entered her eternal rest, May 18, 2024, at her home in Hobbs surrounded by her family. Graveside services are scheduled on May 22, 2024, at 2:00pm at Prairie Haven Memorial Park with Minister Monty Wittman officiating.

Patricia Joan Thomas was born January 7, 1955, in Tacoma, WA on Fort Lewis Army Base, to parents Rex and Janet Thomas. Her childhood was spent in California. In the mid 70’s Patty moved to Beaver, Oklahoma; she was baptized in the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in 1976 by her Uncle Edsel Thomas. In 1977 she married Ray Cramer, and they were blessed with two daughters Laura Diane and JoAnna Michelle.

Patty was blessed with a big heart full of love for everyone. Her passion for life was filled with closeness of her family. Being blessed with three brothers and nine sisters, there was never a dull moment or lack of entertainment and conversation.

She enjoyed listening to gospel music, especially when her daddy and brothers got together to play their guitars. Reading her Bible and listening to her gospel music in her Bible room filled her last years. Patty was very particular with her house and how she dressed. She loved to decorate and make her home cozy and elegant.

She enjoyed entertaining and cooking for her family and loved ones. Being the momma figure after her momma passed. Patty was not only a mother and sister, but a confidant of secrets. Her instruction and examples will live on.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Laura Diane Cramer and JoAnna Michelle Cramer, one granddaughter, Josey Danielle, four grandsons, Hunter, Zack, Brayden and Kasin, nine sisters, Pamela Hayes and her husband John, Paula Thomas, Rexene “Merle” Maple and her husband Jerry, Brenda Thomas, Rhonda Williams and her husband Danny, Wendy Thomas, Alicia George and her husband Danny, Roxanne Thomas and Shawnell Thomas, two brothers, Rex Thomas, Jr. and John Thomas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
