Ramon Garcia was born on November 1, 1946, to Damas Portillo and Siria Garcia in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a resident of Hobbs, New Mexico where he made a career as a barber. He loved cutting hair and making everyone look their best. Ramon was a happy person who loved being the center of attention, he enjoyed dancing and singing as well as helping others. He was happiest when he was spending quality time with his family and socializing.

Ramon is preceded in death by his parents Damas Portillo and Siria Garcia.

He is survived by his six children, his five siblings Vicenta Ontiveros, Juana Portillo, Lorenza Portillo, Patricia Portillo and Jesus Portillo, as well as twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
