Robert Glascow "Bob" Haddox was born January 23, 1961, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Robert and Colleen Haddox. He died June 28, 2026 in Jal, New Mexico. Bob attended Jal High School for a short time in the 1970s where he played in the band. He worked for many years in the building trades industry in Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico. He took great pride in his work and was always diligent to do his best. In 2003 he moved from Tucson, Arizona to Jal, New Mexico where he was known as "Bob the Builder". He was employed by the Woolworth Foundation as a maintenance man for many years. Bob was known for his kind and generous nature, and his love for a good joke. He would help anyone in need. His love for God and his love for people shaped his life. He would always testify of his love for Jesus and how Jesus changed his life. He faithfully served Jal Methodist Church as youth pastor, and later as senior pastor, the office he held at the time of his death. Bob had many interests including flying model airplanes, riding motorcycles, fishing, raising horses, and singing and playing guitar.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Levoy Arnold and a brother, Ronald Lee Durbin.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Haddox (Cannon) of Baytown, Texas, Matthew Haddox (Cannon) of Baytown, Texas, and Ronnie Lee Haddox of Tucson, Arizona. His sister Roberta Stephenson (Paul) of Tucson, AZ, His twin sister Janis Gunn (Rob) of Tucson, AZ. His niece Joanna Brooks (Greg), nephew Paul Stephenson Jr. (Mae} great nieces Morgan and Makayla Brooks and Serena Cubillas, great nephews, Zander, Greyson, and Ethan Stephenson. He is also survived by his aunt Edna Branin of Jal, NM, as well as many cousins to whom he was like a brother. Bob’s passing has left a profound void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was cherished deeply by his family and friends, and his warmth, kindness, and spirit will be profoundly missed by countless individuals whose lives he touched.
