Robert Saline

Robert Herman Saline, 88, of Hobbs, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 in Hobbs. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 30, 2014 at First Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Chidester, officiating.

Mr. Saline was born on November 8, 1925 in Hydro, OK to Charles and Maude Saline. He served his country in the United States Army as a paratrooper. Herman married Margaret Evans and they celebrated over 49 wonderful years of marriage. He worked as a surveyor for the State of New Mexico. Herman enjoyed traveling, especially to the Holy Land. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Herman was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers and a sister.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Saline of the home numerous nieces and nephews great nephews, Stephen Evans and David Evans, Jr. great nieces, Jennifer Evans and Leslie Rodriguez greatgreat niece, Jordynn Evans and 9 other greatgreat nieces and nephews. Services are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home.
