Ronald D. Glans of Hobbs passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2016. His family was by his side. He was born on April 25, 1932 in Madoc, Montana to Clifford and Amanda (Kamrud) Glans. Ronald graduated from Twin Falls High School in Twin Falls, Idaho and attended Idaho State College. He joined the Air Force in 1952 during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany then England where he met his wife of 62 years, Daphne Jean Theobald. He moved with his wife and son to Hobbs in 1980 after living 17 years in Connecticut. Ron was a very gentle, loving, and devoted husband, father, and friend. He is survived and greatly missed by his wife, Jean, daughter Kasey Ravenelle and her husband Michael; daughter Kelley Witkowski; son Dr. Howard Glans and his wife Kathy, three beloved grandchildren and their families : Lindsay Ravenelle George her husband Michael and their son, Beau; Kimberly Witkowski her partner Bart Haddock and their son, Jack ; Evan Witkowski his wife Heather and their children Noah Walker (Witkowski) and Ever Witkowski a loving sister, Joan Bevan and her family; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Glans and her family.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, a beloved daughter, Vanessa; a brother, Willis; and son-in-law Bill Witkowski . Cremation has taken place.
