Ronnie "Papa" Davis

Ronnie Lee Davis went to meet his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the age of 59. Ronnie was born March 3, 1967, in Lorain, Ohio. Ronnie found joy in many aspects of life – whether he was coaching his kids in sports, casting a line on a quiet lake, heading out on a haunting trip, or simply spending time with the animals he cherished. He may have had a rough exterior but if you got past that you would find a man with not only a big heart but a man who would go above and beyond for his family and friends. He will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; Willis Jay Davis and Genevieve Davis- Cook, and older brother; Donnie Dale Davis. He is survived by his sons and daughter-n-laws; Justin and Jennifer Davis of Seminole, Tx, Brandon and Alyssa Davis of Hobbs, NM; daughter and son-n-law; Shawtel and Aaron Hinojos of Monument, NM; brother; Willis Jay Davis II of Hobbs, NM sister; Connie Patton and husband Guy Patton of Abilene, Tx; 4 grandsons and 2 granddaughters; Braxton Davis, Cutter Davis, Rhyder Davis, Ty Davis, Sadie Davis, and Gracie Hinojos. Many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 8th at 3:00pm at the Griffin Funeral Home. Services will be performed by Alyssa Davis his daughter-n-law.
