Rose Turnbull

Rose Marie Brady Turnbull, 83, of Hobbs passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, April 15, 2016 at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Darren Skinner and Stewart Sroufe, officiating. Interment will follow in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery in Hamlin, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00-7:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Home.

Rose was born on March 24, 1933 in Stonewall County, Texas to Theodore and Eula Brady. She married Hardy Turnbull on June 26, 1955 in Hamlin, Texas and they celebrated over 61 years of wonderful marriage. Rose taught in the Hobbs schools for 29 years. She loved gardening and playing the piano.

Survivors include her husband, Hardy Turnbull; daughter, Lisa Shields; sons, Jeff Turnbull and Jayson Turnbull; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
