Russell Garcia

The funeral service has been moved to the chapel at Prairie Haven due to weather.

Russell Isaac Garcia, of Hobbs, passed away on September 30, 2022 in Lubbock, Texas at the age of twenty. He was born in Hobbs on December 10, 2001 to Genoveva Rodriguez Garcia and Michael Anthony Taylor. A graveside service in his honor will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 1pm at Prairie Haven Memorial Park.

Russell was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved learning how things worked, taking things apart and putting them back together again. Russell was never afraid to try something new and loved to keep himself busy. Whether that was riding horses, hanging out with friends or spending time with his family and dog. Russell had just started a new job in the oil field as a pumper and was always making big plans for the future. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

He is preceded in passing by his grandfather Billy Garcia Sr. and his father Michael Anthony Taylor.

Left to treasure his memory are his mother and stepfather Genoveva and Billy Jr. Garcia, siblings Michael, Nicolas, Jazlyn, Christina and Alexis, grandparents Edward and Barbara Rodriguez and Tina Garcia, as well as his nieces, nephews and a host of other extended family and friends who love him.
