Sammy Franklin

Sammy D. Franklin Heckard, 40, of Hobbs, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 in Hobbs. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 8, 2013 at Pleasant Green Baptist Church with Pastor Barry, officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Memorial Church. Visitation will be Thursday, 3:00 8:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Home.

Mr. Franklin was born on November 13, 1972 in Hobbs, NM to Freddie and Malinda Heckard. Sammy enjoyed listening to music, rapping, playing XBox games and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughters, Aubrey Luna Franklin, Dazhua Franklin and Alexa Nicole Franklin all of Hobbs son, Sammy Jaeden Franklin of Hobbs parents, Freddie and Malinda Heckard of Hobbs sisters, Regina Benson Cornell, Arteca Heckard and Christina Cordice Lensdale all of Hobbs brothers, Freddie Heckard, Jr. Telisa of Hobbs, Traune Heckard Kristy Tillman of Hobbs ,Cory Heckard Lori of Hobbs, Troy Haynes of Hobbs and Daryl Franklin of Hobbs grandson, Kaiiden Franklin aunt, Brenda Haynes Arthur special friend, Christy DeLeon and numerous nieces and nephews.
