Sean Petersen

Sean William Petersen, 23, was born on July 15, 1999, in Webster, TX, to Kenneth and Jill Petersen. He went to be with his heavenly Father on December 31, 2022.

Sean was a gentle, sweet, very intelligent young man with a beautiful smile and hazel eyes, and a good sense of humor. He loved his family and friends deeply and enjoyed spending time with them. He was very protective of them, especially his younger brother Bryce when they were growing up. Sean had a sense of adventure and loved traveling on family vacations and his scouting experiences as a youth. He traveled all over the USA, Canada, and Bahamas throughout his brief life. Sean loved fashion and always made sure he was well-dressed. He enjoyed all kinds of music, was interested in vehicles and proudly drove his black 2014 Camaro SS the last months of his life. Sean’s dream was to be a computer engineer. He was primarily self-taught and extremely talented in this field. He was a student at New Mexico Junior College.

Sean was preceded in death by his grandfather, Marion “Squig” Lekawa, Jr., and his grandmother, Pauline Petersen. He is survived by his mother Jill and stepfather Brett Ashenfelter, his brother, Bryce Petersen, his father Kenneth Petersen, his grandmother Joyce Lekawa, his grandfather Arthur Petersen, his uncles Richard Lekawa and Patrick Zircher, his step grandparents George and Darlene Fulton, his aunts Kathy Homer, Lori Hostick, and Laura Bond, his cousins Hayden Lekawa, Jeanette Homer, Ian Homer, Gen Zircher, and Rafe Zircher, and his beloved husky Anna. We will forever treasure his time with us as a gift from God.

Visitation will be held at Griffin Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 11th at 5:00 – 7:00 PM with open microphone sharing at 6:30 PM. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at Griffin Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12th, at 2:00 PM.
