Steven Matthew Quintana

Steven Matthew Quintana, 38, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Friday November 10, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church in Eunice, 1001 15^th St in Eunice.

Steven was born on July 9, 1985, in Van Horn, Tx to Jose Ricardo Lopez and Margarita Quintana. Steven was a God-fearing man. His love for God and his family was immense. He loved music and making arrowheads.  Steven especially loved spending time with his children and teaching them self-defense and how to shoot a bow and arrow.  He loved watching movies and making people laugh.  Steven loved Christine, the love of his life with everything in him and he died saving her.  In our eyes he will always be our hero.

Steven is survived by his mother and stepfather, Margarita and Ernesto Guillen, his lifelong girlfriend, Christine Paiz, his three children, Christian Quintana, Alyssa Quintana, and Mallory Quintana. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Mercy Martinez and her husband Martin, Oscar Calderon, Jr. and Jess Gallegos, April Bascom, Joe Quintana. One stepsister Susie Cardoza, her husband Miguel, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Steven was preceded in death by his dad, Jose Ricardo Lopez, his paternal grandparents Francisco and Refugia Lopez, his maternal grandparents Juan and Hilaria Quintana and one niece Ja’Dyn Calderon.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Carlos Maldonado, Martin Martinez, Jr., Estevan Maldonado, Jr., John Martinez, Timothy Martinez, Richard Brown and Oscar Calderon III.
