Tena Anderson

Tena Anderson, 61 of Hobbs passed away July 27, 2013 in Hobbs. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Tena was born on November 24, 1951 in Sherman, TX to Juanita and John Martin Sr. She attended Hobbs schools graduating in 1969 and NMJC. Tena married Terry Anderson, and they made their home in Hobbs. She was a substitute teacher for the Hobbs school system for numerous years. Tena was a member of Belvue Baptist Church, and recently, Immanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending church, shopping, caring for her dogs, and always taking in stray animals.
Survivors include her husband, Terry, of the home sister, Mary Chanley Rodney of Hobbs brother, John Martin, Jr. of Hobbs three nieces, Rene Miner, Brandy Thomas and Janie Urtigia and two nephews, Lawrence and Richard Faulkenberry.
Tena was preceded in death by her parents.
