Vivian Hayes

Mrs. Vivian Hayes, 86, of Hobbs, passed away, Sunday, January 13, 2013 in Hobbs. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, January 18, 2013 at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Reverend Joe Willie Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday the
17th from 5:00 7:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hayes was born on April 6, 1926 in Madisonville, Texas to John and Anna Elizabeth Davis. She was one of thirteen children. Mrs. Hayes accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Mary Anderson School in Madisonville. Mrs. Hayes moved to Los Angeles, CA where she united with the Liberty Baptist Church and served as an usher for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, 8 brothers and a granddaughter.

Survivors include her son, Earl L. Burnett, Sr. and wife, Lucille of Hobbs brother, Herbert Davis of Richmond, CA 7 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
